Ideation: Redefining the Studio with Kate Gilbert
Catalyst Salon
February 27, 2020, 6-7pm
Maud Morgan Arts, 20 Sacramento Street, Cambridge
Have you ever wondered how creatives come up with their ideas? This program focused on ideas and what inspires and provokes artists to create their unique and innovative work, and how those ideas extend beyond their singular studio practice. Deborah Davidson was in conversation with Kate Gilbert, artist and founder of Now and There. She is interested in cultivating the critical role the arts and artists play in transforming our cities, our relationships, and ourselves. These investigations manifest in artwork, a curatorial practice and dedication to expanding the field of public art.
Part of the programming for Deborah Davidson’s exhibition Dissipate. Disappear. Dispel. at Maud Morgan Arts Chandler Gallery, February 3 – 28, 2020. maudmorganarts.org/chandler-gallery
