Descience Strategic Creative Lead Julianne Gauron had an enlightening conversation about the creation of this cutting edge approach and process to fostering collaborations; imagining cross-disciplinary concepts; and fusing the languages of fashion design and science. We heard from the experience of Descience 2014 winners, team Cytocouture, Dr. Laura Indolfi  and Designer Carlos Villamil.

After the conversation, there was a hands-on workshop run by Cambridge Creativity Commons, led by experts, to explore the rich overlap of creative processes between the arts and sciences. Audience members were able to observe and experience how teaching them together can promote excitement and engagement in learning! Catalyst welcomed educators, students, artists, scientists and those interested in this fertile arena of arts and science education.
